Sleeping powerz
I was wondering how much power is consumed when I sleep my PowerBook G4. I'm wondering in terms of how long can I leave it sleeping without plugging it in as opposed to a number of milliamps or something.
Also, I was wondering how the mac "sleep" state compares to the windows' "Sleep" and "hibernate" states. I'm guessing it's somewhere in between them.

on a different note, is it normal for finder to randomly start consuming over 80% of the CPU, and having the activity monitor fill up with system color? My computer's been doing that recently and finder dosent stop until I quit it. I think that it's stopped now, but has anyone else had that happened?

Jaguar or Panther?

And sleep mode for me consumes only around 1%/hour, so if I sleep it with 100% charge at 9:00am when I unplug it and bring it to school, and open it up for the first time to use it at like 2:00pm, it's still at around 95% battery. It's pretty awesome, considering how instantly it wakes up! Windows hibernate is cool because it doesn't use any battery, but my old Dell sometimes took longer to wake up from hibernating than my PowerBook does to cold boot, so it's pretty silly. Sleep is way cooler!
