Tokyo Godfathers was a great movie. I've seen so much ass-horrible anime lately that I've forgotten what good anime was like. Also, it made me miss tokyo. It's weird to watch these movies and think that I used to live there. But they always do such a great job of depicting them. I don't get that experience watching American stuff. Maybe if I lived in new york and watched Friends I would, but there's not enough movies about palo alto or santa cruz to really capture the same feelings.

full house
Full House took place in San Francisco! Uhm... I think you'd relate more to the city shows if you lived in New York or LA cause a lot of movies and sitcoms and dramas take place in those 2 cities. They take place in a lot of randomass towns too though. People aren't really interested in Palo Alto. Maybe if there was a movie about these rich people who shopped a lot and then had house parties with their rich friends and had servants and stuff. But they can be asian and speak funny, it'd be the asian version of Fresh Prince.

Palo Alto-the movie!
I don't think you Palo Altoians realize just how much depth your hometown has. I remember one of the first times I ever went to Lytton Plaza, there was so much to take in. Palo Alto is just so different than most places. And so different from what it seems. I remember I asking J why so many kids were smoking, and he said that it was Palo Alto. There's nothing to do- "just poison in some form or another." I mean -hello! Can you say movie slogan?
Okay, so maybe there's not that much to do, but- and don't take this the wrong way 'cuz you know I love ya'll, Palo Alto is so crazy and fucked up, if you could capture that in a movie, the Academy Awards would love it.
Maybe I should start drafting a screen play...being the outside observer and all...hum...want name do you want your alter-ego to have?
