There are black people who embrace christianity, even though that relegion held them in slavery for hundreds of years.
It's not an issue of Christianity or the bible, it's about people being jerks to other people.

You honestly think that a man who had to wear a wire into a debate because he can't think for himself, and denied it when it was clearly pointed out, actually wrote his own autobiography? I think not. That should disqualify him as a candidate for being a "good guy" right there. Do you purposely choose to avoid all the blatant lies he has perpetuated throughout his entire reckless and immoral Constitution-shredding term as President!? Because if so, I think your head must actually be further up your ass than his. And that means you've got to have a damn long neck.

Re: uhm.....
Actually, anyone who gets angry at me deserves to leave. The whole point of our country is that I have freedom to talk about stuff like this all I want. I can tell you didn't actually read that first link. Have fun when they take away all your civil liberties in the name of fighting terrorism...

Re: uhm.....
Hahaha...wow, actually I had almost completely forgotten about you. You're hilarious!! To most logical people, when someone moons you, it's not a very convincing sign that they're ignoring what you're saying. It's certainly more of a defense mechanism to cope with your thin veil of perceived morality and safety being ripped away, simultaneously shattering your flawed sense of value. I understand, don't worry—it's hard to cope with things like that, so sometimes the only thing to do is act like a monkey. Moon me all you want, defensive and illogical reasoning and actions just further assure me that you're listening and being affected by my truthful and moral logic.

Re: wow...
Yes, I am being sardonic.
Bush is a closed minded person, and that's really just not acceptable.

Re: wow...
"There are only two things I can't stand in this world: prejudice, and the Dutch!"

But yes, there are just so many things wrong with Bush. Let's see how he does on the major issues:

Economy: only president to lose jobs since Hoover
Social security: no plan to pay (over $200b) for his 'reforms'
Terrorism: sent the army to the wrong country
International relations: everyone hates us
Science: falsely attaches moral injustice to stem cell research to score points with religious folk
Family values: if bigotry is a family value, he's your man
Civil rights: waived for the war on terror

I don't think of myself as being terribly partisan. At least, I wasn't before this administration; even though I'm a registered Democrat, I was pulling for McCain in 2000. I just can't think of a single thing Bush has done right. I guess that poster upthread really defines how Bush suceeds. Empiricism has totally vanished from America. People "just trust ol' Dubya." It doesn't matter that his actions continually demonstrate his untrustworthiness. People just trust him anyway.
