Thinking about Retail...
I think it sucks that Average people just get ignored. Like in a store, the super nice or super bitchy people get an extra compensation, but the just normal ones just get average treatment. I hate that this society rewards bitchy people....

hi chris! average people are being weeded out by Darwinian tendencies. super nice people make my job more enjoyable. bitchy people push the evolutionary envelope, and challenge me. that said, just plain jerks get their food spit on (not really...). either way, average people aren't doing anything proactive to improve their station in life, so why should i, as one who serves them, do anything proactive to improve it for them?

in other, completely different news, i need a favor. my friend lena (who will be at stanford med school next year) left bahia's sleeping bag at her host's apartment, and that girl wants to not have it anymore. because neither of us know when we will next be in pa, we were hoping you could just pick it up and hold onto it until we next see you. it'd be incredibly awesome if you could. call me for details.

and by the by, super nice and super bitchy are not the only alternatives to "average." there's also interesting, smart, and of course, super hott!

does this only apply to the commercial context, or life at large?
