FileMaker discovery
So… I just figured out that you can call a script from an external data source. That means instead of maintaining a million versions of similar scripts, I can just have one in one place, and call it from other files.
At first I was not interested because you can't call them from remote sources in the scheduled scripts thingy but then I realized you can make a local script to call the external script and then set that on the scheduler!
THis is great! it's like, of course you should be able to do this, becasue it's stupid to not be able to, and I was thinking maybe there was a way to do this, but then I'm like… "hey what's this random pulldown in this dialog?" and then it was like "oh, I bet that's been here this whole time and I just tune it out with the rest of the interface clutter."
Needless to say, I'm excited!
